Rob Ruggiero Wins Major Theater Awards

Rob Ruggiero won a number of Connecticut Critics Circle awards this year.

Among the 2008 – 2009 Connecticut Critics Circle (CCC) awards for outstanding contribution to the arts, Rob Ruggiero won for OUTSTANDING DIRECTOR OF A MUSICAL, “Big River” at Goodspeed Musicals, shared in a tie with Semina De Laurentis, “The Producers” at Seven Angels Theater.

Ruggiero also won the Tom Killen Award, CCC’s most prestigious honor for extraordinary contributions to Connecticut’s Equity professional theater.

Ruggiero will next direct “Camelot” at Goodspeed Musicals. It’s on July 10 through September 19. Tickets 860-873-8668 or www.goodspeed.org.
