
The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UConn, Waterbury has announced that William J. Mann will present a talk on his newest book, "How To Be A Movie Star - Elizabeth Taylor in Hollywood," on Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2009 6:30 PM, at the Palace Theater. Light refreshments will be served. Dr. William J. Pizzuto said, "It is a remarkable honor to know that Bill Mann has selected Waterbury (UConn and and The Palace Theater) as the second stop on this very significant book tour." USA Today printed a copy of the book cover on its front page on Sept. 3, 2009 and named "one of the most anticipated books of the season for critics." William J. Mann is the author of Kate: The Woman Who Was Hepburn, which was named a New York Times Notable Book. Mann has worked as a freelance journalist and editor, and has written several other works of fiction and nonfiction. He divides his time between Massachusetts and California. He was a guest speaker for OLLI in spring 2007.
