
EROS… the Greek god of Love? Not in this case! The EROS Film Festival is the annual GLBT Film Festival organized by Out Film CT for the EROS (Encouraging Respect Of all Sexualities) gay/straight alliance at Trinity College in Hartford. This year’s festival is just around the corner – November 4 – 8, 2009.
The dedicated Out Film CT crew has done it again, pulling together amazingly diverse collection of GLBT films. Here’s the line-up:
Wed, 11/4 @ 7:30 p.m. - Rivers Wash Over Me
After his mother dies, Sequan, a sensitive teenager from Brooklyn, moves in with relatives living in a small town plagued with secrets hidden deep within its lush, rural Alabama terrain. This controversial new documentary film about HIV/AIDS is described by its director as “an objective examination of the idea that HIV causes AIDS,” while its detractors say that it dangerously promotes the views of AIDS denialists who claim that HIV does not exist and/or does not cause AIDS.
