What’s In a Name?

Metroline was in the process of reorganization—having changed our name from MCC News to the current Metroline Magazine. At the time, managing editor John Crowley and his staff were undergoing plans to change the format of the publication. They welcomed suggestions and advice from the community. One of those changes in format included a name change, for which they invited the community to toss around some of their ideas and suggestions.

After numerous word games and discussion, Crowley and his former editorial team came up with the current Metroline name. Since then, despite numerous changes in style, design and staff, Metroline has continued to grow in its pursuit of offering news to the gay community.
