Hey guys.  It’s getting colder outside again, and that means it’s time to find indoor activities to keep us busy.  We’ve decided to do another one of our entertainment-focused issues to give you some options.

Our issue actually begins with a holdover from the Gay History Month articles we’ve been bringing you, featuring an interview with the talented Lily Tomlin.  She’s a classy actress who’s quick wit has long been providing generations with laughs, and at 70, she is still as active as ever.  Check out the great interview with her, conducted as part of the Gay History Project, and you’ll learn another thing or two about her.

This issue also brings the long-awaited review of “Make the Yuletide Gay,” which Josh watched and reviewed for this issue.  You may remember we featured some information about that movie in these pages earlier this year.  Well, the release of the DVD is scheduled to come out on November 18, so we wanted to refresh your memory and give you a little more detail on whether you should check it out.  Despite some hiccups, Josh thinks it’s worth your time.

Josh also squeezes in a review of a few new releases coming out, including Kathy Griffin’s latest CD.  I listened to it before passing it to Josh, and was disappointed by the holiday theme on the CD cover not being followed through on the inside.  Josh caught this too, but we both agree the humor itself is still top-notch - just bad marketing.  Check out his review inside.

Terri’s latest book selection is a pictorial/testimonial combination of sorts about Harvey Milk.  She is quite positive about the end result, offering a nice history of Milk from the people who knew them.  Learn more about the book inside, and head to our Web site if you wish to order it - we provide you with a direct link.

Finally, Don and Tony do their normal bang-up job as our Critics on the Aisle, bringing you no less than three reviews of current productions in Connecticut.  There are plenty of theaters in the state providing a world of entertainment doing the colder months, and they are definitely a great option for a night out on the town.

The colder weather may be a deterrent to going out for some, but we encourage you to go out (stimulate the economy, as they say), and when you do so, we hope you’ll patronize one of the advertisers found in the pages of our magazine.  As a free publication, they ensure the lights are on and the magazines are printed, and without them we’d be out of here.  Please support them, and tell them that you do so in part because of Metroline.
And hopefully, I’ll see you Out & About.
